What to Expect When You Volunteer

Each day, CAFE 180 depends on volunteers to prep and serve food, clean, wash dishes, pick up trash, and wrap silverware. In exchange, volunteers typically get a fresh, hot meal. Those needing counseling services receive a voucher for a confidential counseling session with Denver Family Institute.

How We Encourage Self-Sufficiency

We believe that everyone has something to offer. That’s why our ventures nourish people through traditional exchanges and by the exchange of a person’s time and/or talents. Our work is all about dignification – a word we use to describe our aim of opening the hearts and minds of our neighbors to the needs that surround them while encouraging people in need to be self-sufficient. When an exchange is dignified, everyone wins.
